Lt Commander Jim Milstead (USN Ret) all dressed up for the Navy Birthday party! US Navy veterans at the USN’s birthday celebration 2018. Al Jackson presented the Post with a model that replicated the P51 Mustang Red Tails. These planes were flown by the Tuskegee Airmen. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first black military aviators. These combat trained aviators flew more than 15,000 individual sorties in Europe and North Africa during WW II. The plane is now in the canteen and being showcased with many other combat aircraft models built by Frank Pinkerton Commander, Dan Kossler with Coast Guard Birthday Cake.
