The Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center collects, preserves and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.  Record your stories and you may see them featured here in the upcoming months.  Go to www.loc.gov/vets to learn more.
 
 
 
The Battle of Kontum.  Lt. Col. John G. "Jack" Heslin, U.S. Army retired, a member of our Post, created a large Vietnam War history site on the 1972 Easter Offensive and the Battle of Kontum.  He launched the web site on March 30, 2002, the 30th anniversary of the battle.  His hope has always been that some of the insights gained during the Vietnam War and this battle, would be of use to others as America continues to face her enemies in the future.

Jack dedicated his web site to those few Americans who stayed and fought with the South Vietnamese, especially the aviators who did extraordinary things in a battle most Americans never heard of.  Please visit Jack’s web site through the link below.
