On November 26, 2020 Billy McCormick peacefully entered into eternal rest, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born in Haverstraw, New York on December 30, 1945 to Skidmore and Veronica (Phalen) McCormick.  He was 74 years old.
 
Billy grew up in Haverstraw and graduated from Haverstraw High School Class of 1964.  On September 11, 1964 he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he completed a tour in Viet Nam and rose to the rank of Sergeant.  At the end of his four year service, he began working as a Human Resource Manager for Federal Paper, later known as International Paper of New York, one of the largest paper companies in the United States.
 
On March 17, 1989 Billy married Trish O'Donnell.  They resided in Stony Point until their retirement. In 199 they moved to Sunset Beach, NC.  They celebrate 31 years of marriage on St. Patrick's Day, 2020.
 
Billy was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Life Member of the VFW Calabash Post #7288 where he served as the Post Quartermaster for over 15 years, the American Legion Post #0186, and the Shallotte Elks Lodge #2854.
 
Billy excelled in gymnastics in high school, was a big fan of baseball and loved to play softball in many leagues, including Deerhead and the Elks.  He later became an avid golfer, most recently playing on the "Hump Day Humps" golf league.
 
Billy was predeceased by his parent and sisters, Betty Ann McCormick and Donna Secone.  He is survived by his loving wife Trish, son William "Billy" June and wife Lonnie, his daughter Tara June and fiancee Joel Williams, four grandchildren, Connor and Kiera Fahey, and Wyatt and Delaney June as well as his niece, Donna Casey, two great neices and one great-great niece.
