The Post participates in the VFW’s annual National Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year program, which recognizes the best educators who "instill a sense of national pride in students” and stimulates interest in American history, civic responsibility and patriotism. The annual VFW National Citizenship Teacher of the Year program is open to all classroom teachers in grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
