Teen from North Carolina in the Running to Win a $30,000 Scholarship from the VFW!

Bob Meland - 2/23/2018

High school students across the country recorded audio-essays on this year's theme:"American History: Our Hope for the Future."

We've selected one winner from each state to qualify for the grand prize, a $30,000 scholarship to the college or technicalschool of their choice.

The VFW's Voice of Democracy competition allows high school students to compete for more than $2.1million in scholarships and incentives.

On Monday, March 5, at the VFW Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.  VOD winners were announced.  Our representative Elliot Paul of Greenville NC, was awarded a $1,500 Scholarship.

Show your support for these patriotic teens by sharing their audio clips with your friends and family.

Together, we can celebrate the next generation of proud Americans!
